Made in our ‘AA’ BRCGS accredited plant in the Scottish lowland borough of Annan, this ultra premium quality smoked salmon is steeped in centuries-old Scottish tradition. We hand cure each fillet with a blend of pure sea salt and brown sugar before smoking it.
The professional jury at the 62nd Monde Selection Awards recently bestowed upon our St. James Scotch Reserve PURE ROYAL FILET the distinguished Grand Gold Award. Monde Selection is the world’s leading Quality Institute for consumer products.
The results are out for Great Taste 2022 - the world’s most trusted food and drink awards which is organized by the Guild of Fine Food - with 5,556 artisanal food and drink producers across the nation scooping 1-, 2- and 3-stars for their products and that all-important judges’ feedback.
This year’s line-up saw food and drink products submitted from a staggering 110 different countries from across the world. 4,078 were awarded a Great Taste 1-star – ‘food & drink that delivers fantastic flavour’, 1,237 were awarded a Great Taste 2-star – ‘above and beyond delicious’, and 241 were awarded a Great Taste 3-star – ‘extraordinarily tasty food & drink.
Among the Great Taste 3-star recipients is our very own Scotch Reserve Royal Filet. It is in the running for the title of Supreme Champion of 2022.

The perfect dish to enjoy on a special occasion, slice the PURE ROYAL FILET into medallions approximately 1 cm thick and then cut in half. Set the blinis on a plate and add some creme fraiche onto each of them. Place a portion of PURE ROYAL FILET on top immediately followed by caviar. Don't forget to garnish with fresh dill. This recipe has been designed so every ingredient shines through without being overwhelmed by others' tastes.
